Hawthorn Suites by Wyndham Wheeling at the Highlands

So this isn't a luxury hotel but you get exactly what you expect and paid for. Full sized refrigerator and microwave. The windows crack open, which is awesome to be able to get fresh air. You can't beat the location either. Walking distance to a few restaurants and a short driving distance to many.

Rooms are very clean and have a small Kitchenette the staff was incredible and friendly we were traveling with a large group of youth wrestling families ! The woman working behind to counter gave the kids pens and paper to draw and cards to play with! She was overly accommodating and lovely! Super close to the sports complex and multiple restaurants so if you are traveling out of state like us it’s a must!

The beds and pillows were very comfortable! Showers were great too! The breakfast every morning was good and the staff had warm baked cookies every afternoon. The staff was very friendly and accommodating and we would definitely stay here again on our next trip here! No complaints!!

Comfortable room, cutest little kitchen with everything you need….almost full sized fridge with a freezer, microwave and dish washer. Amazing!! Beds were super comfy. Convenient location to Highlands Sports Complex and just about anywhere you want to shop. Breakfast was awesome!! Chicken and waffles or sausage biscuits and gravy. Mwah!! Clean, convenient and classy. 5 stars!!!

Nice and convenient hotel for our short stay. Prior to check in I called and spoke with one of the staff with a few questions and was approached with smart responses and an attitude. After alot of back and forth at the end he did accommodate some things to ensure our stay was going to be good. Upon check in we were told our rooms got switched from a king size to two queen size room which is not what we booked for and the front desk told us we should’ve been notified and that they couldn’t put us back in a king room. No one told us. Overall hotel was very clean, bathrooms could use some deep cleaning but great location and nice amenities.

Went to a Wheeling Nailers hockey game and chose this location,. Would highly recommend this location. The stafff was polite, courteous , helpful and accommodating. Rooms are comfortable, well equipped for a stay, kitchen, stove, pots and pans etc., full size refrigerator and dishwasher. The breakfast staff was great. The choice of food is what you’d expect but it was better than expected as in fresher than others I’ve experienced. Nice size dining room and clean.

I stayed here on a trip from Indiana to the DC area. My experience with the good people at this hotel cannot be overstated. It was AMAZING! I needed some help with a reservation, room type, and reservation date and every person I talked to couldn't have been more professional and helpful. Bernie (assistant manager), Brent, and Alison made sure my visit was awesome. If you need a clean, quiet, place to stay, with people that are working to make sure your stay is good, GO HERE!

I will start by saying this was one of the cleanest hotels I've ever been to. Kudos to the housekeeping staff. The complimentary breakfast was nice both mornings we were there. We had a room with a shower, not a tub... that's my one complaint. The shower was nice-looking, but absolute garbage from a practical standpoint. The walk-in shower had a glass door that didn't seal worth a darn and leaked copious amounts of shower water all over the floor outside of the shower. The shower head was so large, it really couldn't be adjusted to point any other direction, and whoever the contractor was that plumbed up the supply lines to the shower valve did them backwards, so hot was cold and cold was hot. This shower was a very minor deal, and in no way would it keep me from staying here again... I just thought I'd let it be known.
